"We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won't be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We'll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!" 1 Corinthians 13:12 MSG

"Seeing clearly" is key to the artist's process. Just like the believer who develops a loving relationship with God matures to see as He does, so the student artist must train their eyes to see the way a Master Artist sees. In Art L1, the artist is trained to first "see" their subject clearly then taught how to translate that image from a three dimensional form onto a two dimensional substrate.
